Click here to see if Patreon is right for you ////// Back in December I set out to watch every Marvel Movie from all continuities in preparation for Avengers: Endgame. All of it was building towards now where I’m going to share my picks for the 20 best Marvel movies!

This is part 3 of my ranking of all 58 theatrical Marvel movies from the worst to the best…..from the MCU (Marvel Cinematic Universe), Punisher, Fantastic Four, Raimi Spider-man, X-Men, all of it!

Part 1 – Bottom 20 Marvel Movies –

Part 2 – Middle 20 Marvel Films –

Share your picks for the middle Marvel movies in the comments!

* I rewatched all 58 movies in the 6 months leading up to shooting this video.

* I only included theatrical films. No TV movies (not even 70s Spider-man TV movie which got a very limited theatrical release) or direct to video films.

* I didn’t include the 40s Captain America serials because they’re serials not an actual movie.

* I did not include Men in Black because the comics were not created as a Marvel property. Marvel just purchased Malibu and eventually owned Men in Black. Thats really not the same thing in my mind.

  30. Divyen Joshi says:

Spider-Man 2 is easily my favourite Marvel film. Dark Knight is my favourite superhero film overall.

  31. The Legend says:

Logan is by far the best. By far it's the most emotional, gory, and has that dark, sadist vibe which makes it great

  32. When a cartoon beats the biggest non avenger crossover movie…

  33. This is my personal ranking of every MCU Movie:

    22. Thor: The Dark World

Honestly, this movie wasn’t memorable at all. I can barely remember anything about it until I watch the movie again. Every movie also has to have a good, stable villain. But this movie does not have a good villain. He’s plain, boring, and barely anything about him is explained. It also has a really bad action-romcom mix that it tries to go with, and it just wasn’t done well.

    21. Iron Man 3

Most people would say Iron Man 2 is the worst Iron Man film, but for me, this one bored me out. This movie did really good with developing Tony Stark’s and Pepper Potts’ relationship, but the villain for me.. kind of ruins this movie. Like Thor: The Dark World, the villain is also quite boring, and honestly, the only interesting, impactful part was when he destroyed Tony’s huge cliffside mansion.

    20. Iron Man 2

This movie, as you said, just jumps from plot line to plot line, not knowing what to do with itself. Some parts were pretty cool like the Iron Man and War Machine fight which is why I ranked this higher than Iron Man 3. But Whiplash and Justin whats-his-face are extremely boring and this movie lacks action.

    19. Captain Marvel

The comedy on this movie was on point, especially George. It does a great job at explaining not only a lot about Nick Fury, but also about Captain Marvel. But the action seems kind of bad and boring. I also get that Captain Marvel is this person with godlike powers but I find that the way they introduced her abilities at the end was so bad.

    18. Ant-Man

Just like Captain Marvel, the comedy was on point. The action was way better than Captain Marvel’s was, but the storyline and multiple plot lines were bad and sometimes a bit hard to follow. Also, Paul Rudd was perfect for Ant-Man but some of the casting seems bad and off. Yellowjacket is also one of the worst villains, but he looks really cool. 🙂

    17. Thor

Is it just me, or is it just that older Thor movies are pretty bad. The first Thor is good overall, definitely not as bad as Thor: The Dark World, but to me it was kind of hard to follow sometimes. Besides that, this movie does an amazing job at developing Thor’s comedic and fearless character, and is pretty great.

    16. Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2

This movie had the best comedy by far. It does amazing at developing different characters, especially Yondu. And they manage to get every character arc on point.. except for Eon. Eon is so cool in the comics, but they ruined him in this movie. In his main character arc, it was confusing to follow some of the plot lines and he grew boring. Besides that, this movie is awesome, and the action is really good also.

    15. Avengers: Age of Ultron

The Avengers are awesome, and this movie’s comedy is really good also, but it wasn’t great. Ultron had the potential to be such a GREAT villain, but they screwed him up. The Battle of Sokovia was really awesome, especially when they all assembled. I also really liked Quicksilver, but they threw him away like garbage. And to be honest, the first three quarters of the movie are boring, but not super boring.

    14. Captain America: The First Avenger

This movie is AMAZING. I love the classic style of the film, and it’s an amazing origin story, to one of the best heroes. Red Skull definitely had more potential but he was executed amazingly. There’s nothing super bad to say about this film besides.. some parts were a bit forgettable, but still really good.

    13. Iron Man

An amazing start to an awesome character’s origin. This movie is awesome. It was extremely emotional. When Tony was all savage and swag, I got pumped up. When Tony was sad or getting hurt, I got sad. And when Tony said “I am Iron Man,” that was the best moment of the whole film. And the villain is good, not great, but really good.

    12. Ant-Man and The Wasp

This movie was a great follow up to Ant-Man and the directors learned from their mistakes. Paul Rudd did even better with the comedy in this film, and the action was amazing. The only problem I have is Ghost. Ghost is a bad villain. The movie itself is amazing, but Ghost is just bad and boring to me.

    11. Avengers

This movie delivered amazing comedy to the big screen. It was awesome to see the first Avengers Assemble, and is one of the greatest moments in movie history. It’s executed so well, but the only issues I have are some of the character arcs. Loki’s character arc was pretty boring, and this movie was sometimes forgettable, but it’s amazing. I just have to put it here, I can’t put it lower, but I can’t put it higher.

    10. Captain America: The Winter Soldier

Every Captain America movie brings a huge success to the big screen. And this is no different, Bucky Barnes’ return is so emotional. It’s so cool but it’s so sad when he sees Cap again. Again, this movie was sometimes forgettable, or maybe I just forget a lot.

    9. The Incredible Hulk

Everyone hates way too much on this film. To me, it’s amazing! This movie does so much things right. The only bad thing I see about it are some of the character arcs, but this is just amazing. And Hulk vs. Abomination is one of the best fights ever.

    8. Avengers: Endgame

This movie was awesome. It brought an amazing amount if action, and comedy to the big screen. There’s just somethings I didn’t like about this film coming out of the theatre. The final battle against Thanos should have just been with Cap, Iron Man, and Thor. They’re pretty much the original three, it was awesome and epic when everyone came back, but they should’ve let the three fight alone. This movie does hit really hard and almost made me cry. I also think that they made Thanos way weaker than he used to be.

    7. Doctor Strange

This movie is so good with comedy. The action is amazing too, but considering that it’s a movie about wizards, I’m not surprised that it’s extremely confusing. This movie is so hard to follow considering how confusing it is, but it’s so awesome at the same time. “Dormammu, I’ve come to bargain.” 😉

    6. Guardians of the Galaxy

This movie is overall perfect. James Gunn did so much right. It’s really difficult to think of what they did wrong from the top of my head. The only thing that really kind of ruins this movie for me is Ronan. Ronan is an awesome villain, but in this movie, he doesn’t really have enough of a character arc for me to like him.

    5. Thor: Ragnarok

This does so much in the perfect way. I love Hulk and Valkyrie, and the action is also awesome. And just like how Thor is, this movie is super comedic. Ragnarok is so cool and he’s super strong, and the death of Odin really makes it sad. I have a huge problem with Hela though. Hela is not okay, and is a really bad villain.

    4. Black Panther

Black Panther was a huge success. It made so much and I’m really not surprised why. Black Panther really showed different aspects of culture and showed that even people who live in jungles and mountains can be powerful and advanced. To me, Ulysses Klaue is a terrible villain, but Erik Killmonger has so much character to him and is done so well.

    3. Spider-Man: Homecoming

Holy crap was this movie amazing. It’s the most amusing movie in the entire MCU to rewatch. The amount of times I’ve watched this movie is insane, but it’s kind of addicting. Let’s be real here, Tom Holland is the only one who can play Peter Parker properly, and I hope he goes far with his career. I kind of don’t like Vulture’s character, but he is still done phenomenally.

    2. Captain America: Civil War

This movie has the best team up moments ever. We meet so much new heroes too, and to see all of your favorite heroes in the big screen battling against each other, and with each other. Whenever I watch this movie, it makes me cry but it also makes me so pumped up.

    1. Avengers: Infinity War

If you’ve seen this, you’ll know this needs no explanation.

  34. Emily Patel says:

When he said dark night I was so confused. I’m like WHAT VIDEO AM IWATCHING

  35. 1. Avengers Endgame
    2. Infinity war
    3. Spiderman (2000)
    4. The Avengers
    5. Spider-Verse

(I know this is a kind of weird top 5)

  36. Supernøva 5 says:

Has the two films with black protagonist lowest. He’s entitled to his opinion and idc but I disagree as the score and storyline and character development of black panther was much better than others on the list.

  37. 20:35 I was about to go into an angry rant I didn't realize it was DC ?
